Some of us are unabashed, joyful optimists; others of us are more skeptical. Optimism is easy, isn't it? Always look on the bright side, yadda yadda.
But forget the trappings of blind positivity — think of optimism as a creative strategy. True optimism requires diligence and intention. It's about taking responsibility for your perspective, training yourself to see opportunities in challenges, and of course acting on them.
At its core, optimism is about cultivating resilience. Life is unpredictable; setbacks, inevitable. Do not deny the existence of hardship — instead, acknowledge it and choose not to be consumed by it. All creative obstacles are temporary and surmountable.
The key is to pair optimism with action. Your designs, your posters, your edits, your writing can get better, if you actively construct their future. Plan, prepare, invest in your projects and in yourself. Push forward into the beautiful sea of possibility.
An optimist doesn't see the glass as half full — she fills it up.
Am I an optimist? Well... I aspire to be a better optimist and not succumb to the quicksand of pessimism. Optimism is easy, but the truth is pessimism is easier.
Be strong. I believe in you.
